Happy New Year!
Posted on January 5, 2010
Hello 2010! I’d like to take a few minutes to wish you a Happy New Year and make a few announcements about some big changes with Karol Quinn Photography for this new year.
First of all, I hope that your Holiday season was fun, happy and blessed. My family and I traveled north for a week and a half, dropping in on 3 states in the mid-Atlantic area during a whirlwind visit to try and see as much of our extended family as possible. It was chaotic and exhausting, but so worth every minute of it! Here is a peek into the Quinn Family holiday festivities:
My son’s formal Christmas portraits. I actually took these back in November, but kept them to myself so everyone would see them for the first time when they got our Christmas card. He’s such a handsome little guy!!
The first leg of our trip north was to Virginia. On Christmas Eve we went to Busch Gardens Christmastown. The entire park was decorated in a million Christmas lights. It was gorgeous. The highlight of the day was definitely the look on my son’s face as we rode the train around the park.
It’s wouldn’t be the holidays without a photo of the kiddo in his jammies on Christmas morning!
And we even rounded out or trip with a few inches on snow in Baltimore on New Years Eve!

And now on to the announcements! There will be some changes coming to the blog including a new layout and design. I also have several unbeatable specials in the works for this year, so be sure to check back often to see what is coming!
And finally, I am so excited to announce that we are expecting the birth of our second child in mid-March! It’s a boy!! I am so thrilled that I will soon be the mom of TWO little boys!

As my belly grows, I am not able to get around as quickly and easily as I used to. I am limiting my sessions in January and February to maternity and newborn sessions only. If you are due in the next 2 months, book your session now!! As of March 1, 2010 I will be on an open-ended maternity leave. If you are interested in a session, please book early as space will be limited for the next 6 months. But don’t worry, I promise to keep the blog updated with some personal photos!
Best wishes for a safe and prosperous new year!

Georgia on my mind…

I have some bittersweet news to share… Karol Quinn Photography is moving! My husband recently received an awesome promotion at his work. However, this promotion has him moving to a new facility in Albany, GA. It is a great move for him and his career and I’m so very proud of him. It was just over a year ago that he started with his company and it’s nice to see all his hard work being rewarded.
But is does make me sad to be leaving New Jersey. I hate that I’m leaving behind all my of friends as well as my awesome clients who have helped me build Karol Quinn Photography into the business you see today. I can’t tell you how much it pained me this past week to turn down session inquiries and pass on the few that I had planned to another local photographer. Just as this long, cold, snowy winter was starting to thaw out… I have to go!
And here I am literally just about bursting with creative energy and no one to photograph besides my almost 2 year old son … who’d much rather show me his backside then ham it up for my camera. Lucky for me I have a big sister who loves me and did let me photograph her last weekend for a maternity session. She’s just about due with my twin nephews and she is absolutely glowing. I hope to have sneak peek from our session together posted later this week.
But unfortunately, a 1,000+ mile move means that I just won’t have the time to accept any new sessions for quite a while.
Please check back for updates on us and the move. And keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we make this huge change!
